Portable Diversions

Tiny crocheted baskets.

I used my spinning wheel to ply some old one ply Harrisville wools, so I was essentially designing the baskets while plying the wool.

An easy project to carry in pocket or purse.

Janet,

Your little baskets are lovely.

Since looms aren't too portable and I'm not much of a knitter I continually seek out small projects so that I'm never caught with timeon my hands and nothing to do. It's very centering to have such a project to work on when you're stuck in the emergency room for hours with a sick parent.

I noticed that you mentioned Young@Heart. Would that be the Young at Heart Chorus?

Yes, the movie is about the Young at Heart Chorus. I think it was originally just a youtube video and was so popular they made a movie. I've been hanging out with a sick parent too, which is one reason I love my portable projects.
